When the desperate survivors of the Titanic were rescued from the icy waters of the North Atlantic by the passenger steamship Carpathia, they thought their problems were over.
But something was sleeping in the darkest recesses of the rescue ship. Something old. Something hungry.
The lucky ones wished they’d gone down with the ship.
I’m not going to Good/Bad this one as to be honest, other than a slightly cheesy ending, which can be forgiven under the circumstanes, I’ve got nothing bad to say about it.
Imagine you were on board the Titanic when it went down, floating around desperately in the water, no room on any lifeboats, minutes from an icy death. What could possibly be worse? Ha! Vampires on board! floating around in the water with you and having an absolute field day.
Carpathia was a whole heap of fun to read. I started it at seven this morning when Mr FantasyNibbles went off to work and left me languishing in my sick bed, and I finished it around noon. Regular readers of the blog will easily spot why I liked this one so much, Old Skool Vampires! crateloads of ‘em! And not a floppy-haired sparkly teen vamp in sight. It reads as a fast paced, action packed tribute to Dracula, and it’s no end of fun. Pure crucifix-wielding, stake plunging goodness. With icebergs. Brilliant!
Why 4 stars not 5? It wasn’t long enough Mr Forbeck, I wanted more, write longer books please! And a slighty more wicked ending would’ve been the icing on the cake.

This sounds pretty awesome in like matt forbecks writing, and old school vamps are good in my books. Shall check it out. Thanks for the review!
A pleasure!
I’ve got Vegas Knights on the way too
You know what Nibbles i didn’t think you’d go for this one, you’ve surprised me – i may need to give these angry robot chaps a closer look
In all honesty, I wasn’t too sure initially either. It’d been sitting on my Kindle for awhile. Yesterday morning I couldn’t get out of bed and just grabbed it and dug in to try and take my mind off the pain, and it was surprisingly ace
Often the way.
